Technological Revolution Changes Industry Standards
Project Background:
In 1998, a Taiwanese environmental entrepreneur came across a water purification company in Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province, China that specialized in filtering technology. Intrigued, he brought samples of coal yard wastewater from power plants to Dongou’s testing site for filtration experiments.
Customer Pain Points:
Most of Taiwan’s major power plants had been using imported Swiss filtration equipment that required coagulation before filtering, resulting in high daily chemical cost. Additionally, the filter sleeves made of filter cloth had a short lifespan and were prone to damage, leading to equally expensive replacement costs.
Solution:
Procurement of Dongou PGH Series Filter, updating production line configuration. Significant reduction in energy saving, remarkable improvement in efficiency, bid farewell to tedious and costly replacement processes.
Subsequent Impact:
Due to its remarkable effectiveness, several major power plants in Taiwan even revised their bidding rules for coal yard wastewater purification equipment based on Dongou's filter model. As a result, Dongou seized the market for coal yard wastewater purification in Taiwan’s power plants, maintaining a dominant position in Taiwan's wastewater filtration market for years.
